My brother-in-law and his wife became the proud parents of a little girl this week (their first baby). So, in honor of the occasion, this post is devoted to all things girly in interior design: it celebrates baby pink and bubblegum pink, frills and flounces, feminine shapes and floral patterns. And, why not, I say?! Besides, what better way to usher in the spring than with the color of cherry blossom? Enjoy.

Hi, Lucy! I’ve been wondering how you’ve been doing. Congratulations on the new addition to the family. These are such lovely images – I’ve been loving pink quite a bit lately too.

I absolutely love the bed and bedding in the top photo. Any ideas where I may be able to find simliar items? Or what style of bed that is called? I would love to find something similar!!!

AG – it looks like vintage bedding to me but Anthropologie has some vintage-inspired bed linens which are not dissimilar. Also, it’s a British company, but An Angel at My Table (http://www.angelatmytable.co.uk/) has some vintage-inspired bed linens that would work.

Great, thank you so much!! I will look into both! Any thoughts on where I may be able to find a beautiful French bed similar to the one in that photo? I love the ones as Sweet Pea and Willow but would love to find one in the US to help save on the shipping cost. Thank you thank you!

AG – I believe that style of bed is Baroque. It’s hard to find beds like this in ordinary retail outlets – it might require digging on auction sites or antique stores. There are lots of good options in the UK but seemingly fewer over here. But, for a similar effect you could try these:
This ebay seller has some French baroque items like this bed – http://cgi.ebay.com/Upholstered-Louis-XV-Sophia-Bed-French-Style-King-Size_W0QQitemZ180440888585QQihZ008QQcategoryZ38185QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
The Sleep Room has some good-looking reproduction french beds – http://www.thesleeproom.com/styles/french-beds
Try Brocade Home for a more modern spin on the theme – https://www.brocadehome.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1006_1026&zenid=45jphjome8bl49l3pue1ml8555
Or try Urban Outfitters for a tufted headboard – http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?itemdescription=true&itemCount=80&startValue=1&selectedProductColor=&sortby=&id=14182471&parentid=APARTMENT_FURNISH&sortProperties=+subCategoryPosition,+product.marketingPriority,-product.startDate&navCount=119&navAction=jump&color=&pushId=APARTMENT_FURNISH&popId=APARTMENT&prepushId=&selectedProductSize=
Hope that helps!
