The only new items were the chair, book case, shelf, cabinet and light fitting – oh and framing the painting – so definitely well under $1000 all in. And we got a ton of storage space out of it!

UPDATE: actually, I lie, ther ant chairs, blue table and decals were new too. The chairs were $49 each, the table $16 I think (IKEA of course) and the decals $39 for two including shipping. So still all under $1000 I think.
