I guess that means I’m still floundering in the kindergarten years of interior design school.
I’m not sure I’d want to be taken in such a global direction either, but my brother brought back a couple to London, after living and working in Azerbaijan, and of course they’re stunning. But he does have some fairly strong colors and rustic furniture, which the rugs play off. I like the pics you found, where the rug is the star of the show.
